Connections Individual and Family Services is a 501 (c) 3 private, non-profit organization founded by a group of community leaders in 1981 to provide a safe and secure alternative to the “streets” for homeless, abused, or at-risk youth.
Lives touched by Connections
Helped by Residential Services
Connections depends on state and federal grants as well as foundational support to operate its programs and services across 17 counties. However, the need is too great to rely on grants alone; therefore, Connections also relies on community support in the form of both monetary and in-kind donations.
Funds go to basic services for the kids in our emergency shelters and transitional living program. Food, hygiene products, bedding, clothing, etc.
We provide educational and training opportunities for our residents
We provide counseling services (at no or minimal cost)within the communities we serve
We provide prevention services in the schools/youth empowerment curriculum delivered to classes in the communities we serve.
